The Kingdom is Worth It
For the four weekends from July 9 through July 30, we will have a series of messages entitled, "The Kingdom is Worth It!". Quite often for the Summer months we lose our spiritual focus. Join us for these weekends as we encourage you to not only keep focus, but to help you grow in Faith.
On July 9, the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Jesus asks us to take His Yoke upon ourselves. We introduce this series by realizing that we receive Grace in this life to help us keep focus on the rewards of the Kingdom. In addition, our second reading throughout the summer will come from the Letter to the Romans. We encourage all our parishioners to read this letter.
On July 16, the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, St. Paul reminds us that "creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God." In the Gospel, Jesus offers the parable of the sower. The parable is rich in imagery encouraging us to be a people who prepare our souls to enter the Kingdom.
On July 23, the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time, St. Paul reminds us that the "Spirit come to the aid of our weakness." In the Gospel, Jesus offers several parables to help His followers understand the Kingdom. These parables clearly are a reminder that the Kingdom is Worth it!"
On July 30, the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time, we wrap up the series with a strong reminder that there will be a judgment and that what we do in this life will have eternal impact. Because the Kingdom is Worth It, we must turn our lives over to God and live according to His Will.
Following this series will be two shorter three-part series. The first will be entitled, "God Cares!" the second will be entitled, "Response-Ability."
We now live stream our Masses. Check out our live stream page under "online services" tab above.
