Wedding Ceremony Planning

Music Selection

As your wedding day draws near, it is important to plan your wedding liturgy. A very important aspect of your liturgy is music. Our parish is happy to provide musicians for your wedding. Please contact our Music Director, Hannah Andrejack, for assistance in choosing music and to discuss options. She can be reached by leaving a message at the parish office (516-568-1027) or you can send her an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. This page has been set up with some short clips to help you make your selections. Of course, the list is not exhaustive and you should speak with the Music Director about other options. Please note, secular and non-Christian music cannot be used at a Catholic liturgical celebration. Such songs are more appropriately played at the wedding reception.

In conjunction with planning the music for your liturgy, you must also plan the Prayers and Readings. Please click here to access the Prayers and Readings Planning Page.

There are two options for your Wedding Liturgy - 1) Mass; or 2) Ceremony. The only difference between the two is that a Mass would include the consecration of the bread and wine, changing them into the Body and Blood of Jesus, and the distribution of Holy Communion. If you and your fiancé do not attend Mass weekly, it is strongly recommended that you select a Wedding Ceremony. If you are unsure about which to choose, feel free to discuss this matter with the priest with whom you have been working.

Below are just a few sample songs. Please note, there are more options listed on the suggested song sheet than are listed here.
